Sabitus, four brothers and sisters-in law; Jim and Helen Fitzgerald, Ray and Kate Fitzgerald, Don and Therese Fitzgerald, and Tom Fitzgerald; one sister and brother-in-law, Peg and Leo Kelly; and sister-in-law Evelyn Fitzgerald. Mary graduated from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania with a degree in education. After a long career teaching English at the Vestal Middle School, she and Dad retired to St. Joseph PA in the summer and Safety Harbor FL in the winter. They enjoyed many happy times together and loved gardening, life in the country and visiting with family and friends. Mary was a kind and caring wife, mother and grandmother who cherished her friendships and loved ones. She loved children and dogs and was an enthusiastic Notre Dame football and basketball fan. Above all, her patience and caring endeared her to her family who always knew that they were loved unconditionally. Our family would like to thank the staff at Good Shepherd Fairview for their loving care of Mary over the past four years. They are truly special people.
