Obituary of Mary M. Gilmore

Jesus said unto her, "I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live…" John 11:25 Mary M. Gilmore passed away on Dec. 17, 2018 at age 92 in Orlando, Florida. She was born in Meshoppen, Pennsylvania to James J. and Mary E. McAvoy and graduated from Johnson City High School. Mary was a widower, married for 65 years to Dr. Edward Gilmore, who passed away in December 2009. Mary is survived by her son Robert; son Ronald and his wife, Carol; three grandchildren; and sister Catherine Kuras. Funeral Services will be held at the J. A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Friday, January 4, 2019 at 11 a.m. Rev. Corey S. VanKuren will officiate. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home, Thursday January 3, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Mary's memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75231.
