Obituary of Leigh E. O'Neil

Leigh Edward O'Neil of Endicott, NY passed away on Sunday October 21, 2018 after years of declining health-years lived with courage and good natured optimism. He had a big smile, a big laugh and a big heart. Leigh was predeceased by grandparents Harvey and Helen Fink; stepfather Roger Bower; half-brother Paul Bower; uncles Harvey and Robert Fink. He is survived by his mother, Audrey Bower; his dear friend Rebecca Swinton; aunt Donna Rowe; uncle Jeff Fink plus cousins Lisa Justick, John Fink, Lori Hoyt and Kim Bumgarner. He also leaves behind many devoted friends and his beloved cat Morgan. He attended Greene High School, Broome Community College and Ithaca College. At the time of his passing he was employed as a System Administrator at Cornell University. Leigh had many interests, including gaming, making miniatures, woodworking and cooking for friends. He was a caring soul and always a champion of the underdog. A family gathering will be held a later date. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. Anyone wishing to do so should make a donation in Leigh's memory to the charity of their choice.
