Mary Catherine Grace, age 64 of Scranton PA passed away Friday, September 14th unexpectedly as a result of a fall. Mary was predeceased by her parents, Arthur W and Mildred E Grace and her brothers, Vincent and John. She is survived by her brothers, Robert (Beatrice), James (Patricia) and Arthur of Binghamton, Patrick (Rebecca) of Gulf Breeze, FL, and a sister Ellen Grace Smith (Peter) of Reno, NV, several nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Mary was a graduate of Catholic Central High School, attended Vassar College and graduated from Harpur College and Marywood University with an MSW. She was a retired social worker in the Scranton area who loved music. She was a member of, and performed with, the Scranton Catholic Choral Society, and was an accomplished pianist and guitar player. Mary was a true sports enthusiast; bicyclist, daily swimmer and regular golfer. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Chenango Street, Hillcrest, Saturday at 10 a.m. Burial for the family will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery, Great Bend, PA. The family will receive friends at the J. A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers kindly consider a donation to Seton Catholic Central Scholarship Fund, 70 Seminary Avenue, Binghamton, NY 13905.
