Obituary of Virginia Stevens
Please share a memory of Virginia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
On August 30, 2013, Angels arrived to help Virginia Stevens start her journey into heaven, where she joins her beloved son Thomas, who predeceased her. A beautiful, caring person, she leaves behind her loving husband of 62 years, Thomas; daughters, Linda (Mark) Prutisto, Joanne (David) Dirlam, Donna (Michael) McGuire, Carol (Thomas) Young, and son Gary (Lisa). Virginia is also survived by the loves of her life, 12 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She also leaves behind many Godchildren and several close friends who meant the world to her. She was a member of the Church of Saints John and Andrew, Binghamton. Virginia may be gone from our sight, but her legacy and memories will live on in many hearts. Everyone knows how much family, traditions and values meant to her. Retired from United Methodist Homes Hilltop Campus, Virginia loved to socialize and could light up a room with her warm personality and bright smile. She had a passion for cooking that was demonstrated by her special Sunday dinners. She devoted her life to family, friends and her faith. Her love of the color pink, roses and Italian cuisine will be remembered forever. WE WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU. A Funeral Mass will be offered at the Church of Saints John and Andrew, Vestal Avenue, Binghamton Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton Monday from 2-5 p.m.
