Sue C. Monico, 79, of Binghamton went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 15th 2018. She was predeceased by her husband of 39 years Richard "Dick" Monico, a brother Richard N., and a sister, Gail Jones of Thomaston, CT. She is survived by her sons Francis (Donna) of Vestal, Nicholas (Dianne) of Endicott, Eric (Teresa) of Binghamton, Richard (Louise) of Endicott; a daughter Carole (Bill) Martin of Castle Creek; twelve grandchildren; one great-grandson and devoted life-long friend Betsy Smith. She enjoyed preparing lunches and homemade cookies for the loyal patrons of the Union Hotel on Clinton Street in Binghamton. She enjoyed baking, reading and walking. She was a member of SS. Cyril and Methodius Church, Binghamton. Sue worked at IBM in Endicott then devoted her life to her children and grandchildren. A heartfelt thank you to the nursing staff at Willow Point for their care and compassion. A Funeral Mass will be offered at SS. Cyril and Methodius Church, Clinton Street, Binghamton, Thursday at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Slovak Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Sue's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 401 Hayes Avenue, Endicott, NY 13760.
