Obituary of Kathleen M. Crumley

Kathleen Crumley, 93, died on January 29, 2018. Born in Sayre, PA on September 28, 1924, she was the daughter of Michael J. Dorner and Alice Dorner. Kathleen graduated from St. Patrick's Academy and continued her education at St. Joseph's Nursing School, Elmira, NY where she obtained her degree in Registered Nursing. Kathleen worked as a RN in both private practice and at local hospitals. Kathleen married Thomas J. Crumley in 1950 and they lived and raised their children in the Binghamton area. She was predeceased by her parents Michael J. and Alice Dorner, husband Thomas J. Crumley, and brother John M. Dorner. She is survived by her two children Mary K. Hunter, Anne LaFrance (Rick), sister Teresa Dorner, 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Kathleen was a long time member of St. Vincent de Paul Blessed Sacrament Church. She was a member of the Ladies of Charity and the Women's Club at church. Kathleen gave generously of her time and was an avid volunteer. Kathleen was a devout Catholic who loved the Lord and her family. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren provided her many hours of joy. She will be missed dearly. The family like to extend a special thank you to her sister Teresa for her care and companionship over the years and a thank you to the staff at Mercy House. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Vincent de Paul Blessed Sacrament Church, Clubhouse Road, Vestal, Saturday at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in Kathleen's memory may be made to Mercy House of the Southern Tier, 212 N.
