Obituary of Jerry J. Hawkes

Jerry J. Hawkes, 56, passed away unexpectedly on August 1, 2017. He was predeceased by his parents William C. Hawkes and Rita J. (Duffy) Hawkes. He is survived by his brother Jeffrey (Lynn Solowiej) and his sister Judy Romani (Joseph). Also survived by his nieces and nephews: K.C. O'Neil (Shane), Natalie Hawkes, Rita Reynolds (Daniel), Dr. Joseph W. Romani and Michael Romani. Mr. Hawkes was a graduate of Binghamton North High School and attended Broome Community College. He was the owner of Hawkes Plumbing and Heating. Jerry had a big heart and was loved by all who knew him. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Paul's Church, Chenango Street, Binghamton, Saturday at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Friday from 4 to 7 p.m.
