Please share a memory of James to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
James E. Mack, 66 of Binghamton died Sunday April 9, 2017. He was predeceased by his parents James E. and Ann M. Mack; his brother Patrick and his sister Mary Ellen. He is survived by his brothers and sisters Margaret Mack, Michael and Joanne Mack, Anne Marie and Tony Liberati and Kevin and Maggie Mack; his uncle Thomas Mack; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friend Jenny McLain. James was a graduate of Binghamton Central High School and is retired from Endicott-Johnson. Early morning was Jimmy's favorite time of the day. He would say he loved sitting quietly in his rocker, drinking his coffee and listening to the quiet, just meditating. He then could be seen walking around the West Side of Binghamton greeting many along the way. He was an avid sport fan, who especially loved the Giants, Yankees, Syracuse and Celtics. During his illness, he often expressed his gratitude for the care and support of his family and friends. Jimmy was a man of great faith and he believed that God was always watching over him. It gave him strength to remain optimistic and fight to the end to maintain his independence. Jimmy was a great part of our lives and will be forever in our hearts. The family wishes to thank Lourdes Hospice for their care and concern. Funeral services will be at J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street Binghamton, Wednesday at 7 p.m. Rev. Msgr. John P. Putano will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home, Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy in James's name may be made to any charitable organization.
