Obituary of Joseph M. Nickerson

Joseph M. Nickerson, 28, of Binghamton died Friday June 14, 2013. He was predeceased by a brother John R. Nickerson and his Grandfathers Joseph Stracuzzi and James Nickerson, Sr. He is survived by his wife Jessica Lynn Collins; his mother and step-father Francine and Michael Warren, Sr.; father and step-mother Robert and Robin Nickerson; sister Kate and James McKay; brother Michael Warren, Jr.; sister Alexandra Star Nickerson; his grandmothers Joan Stracuzzi and Patricia Nickerson; several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy; a member of PNP, Upstate Jungle Drum N Bass and was known by his stage name D'Militant. A Memorial Mass will be offered at the Church of Saints John and Andrew, Vestal Avenue, Binghamton, Saturday June 22, 2013 at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Hawleyton Cemetery, Hawleyton, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Joseph's name may be made to the Mental Health Association of the Southern Tier, 153 Court St. Binghamton, NY 13901 or to the Addictions Crisis Center, 5 Merrick St., Binghamton, NY 13904.
