Alice Smyk Maslar, 83, of Whitney Point, formerly of Johnson City, died Monday, July 11, 2016. She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Bob Maslar; her brothers, Walter Smyk and Theodore Smyk; and a sister, Eugenia Murphy. She is survived by her children, David and Brenda Maslar, Richard and Linda Maslar, Cynthia and James Ford, Cathy Breon; nine grandchildren, David and Cheryl, Jonathan, Brandon and Christina, Mallory, Robert, Amy, Alicia, Earl and Andrew; a great grandson, Jonathan; several nieces and nephews. She was a member of Holy Spirit Byzantine Catholic Church, Binghamton and its Mothers club. Alice was a retired Legal Secretary having worked for Peter Daniels and Connerton & Berti. She enjoyed quilting and cross stitching. A Divine Liturgy will be offered at Holy Spirit Byzantine Catholic Church, 360 Clinton Street, Binghamton, Friday at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Teodor B. Czabala, Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Holy Spirit Cemetery, Kattelville. The family will receive friend at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. Parastas Service will be held Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Alice may be made to Holy Spirit Byzantine Catholic Church.
