Anthony, Therese A. Murphy Binghatmon: Therese A. Murphy Anthony, 84, of Binghamton entered into Eternal Rest Thursday, September 13, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 61 years, George A. Anthony, Sr.; her granddaughter, Stephanie Anthony; her parents, Margaret and John Murphy; her brothers and sister, Jean and Charles Ramsay, Eleanor and Jim Telfer, Robert Murphy, Joseph and Phyllis Murphy, James T. O'Neil. She is survived by her children, Ellen and Dan Correll, Eileen and Michael Smalt, Pat and Jack Gleichauf, George Anthony Jr., Michael and Cindy Anthony, Mark and Audra Anthony; 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Marilyn and Lou Hudy, Jeanne Murphy, Arlene and Tom Longcoy; sister-in- law, Sophie and Robert Gosney, Sharon Anthony; brother-in-law, Russell Jacobson; several nieces and nephews. She was a life-long member of St. Patrick's Church, Binghamton and a member of the choir. Therese was an accounts manager for George A. Anthony Service for over 50 years. She was a member of the Broome County Board of Realtors. Therese was an exceptional and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be deeply missed. "She will always be our sunshine." A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Patrick's Church, Binghamton, Monday at 12 Noon. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J. A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Sunday from 1-4 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Therese may be made to St. Patrick's Church, 9 Leroy Street, Binghamton, NY 13905 or the Alzheimer's Association , 401 Hayes Ave. Endicott, NY 13760.
