Rita E. Cooney Clark, of Binghamton, died Tuesday September 1, 2015 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Catherine Cooney; and her brother, Michael. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, John A. Clark; her children, Jacqueline and Gerald Gow, Heather and Mark Queor, Michael and Ashley Clark, Katie and Jeff Walburger, and John and Michaela Clark; her grandchildren, Keara, Kara, Brandon, Anthony, Allison, Kamyrn, Aidan, Sean, Michael, Lincoln and Louella; her sisters, Mary Catherine Cooney, Nancy Wright, Janet Rose, and Diane and Ronald LeClair; special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was a member of St. Paul's Church, Binghamton. She was active in Irish dancing and a member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. The family wishes to thank the staff of Lourdes Hospital for the compassionate care given to Rita. A Memorial Mass will be offered at St. Paul's Church, Chenango and Robinson Streets, Binghamton on Friday at 9:30am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J. A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton on Thursday from 4-7pm. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Rita may be made to Lourdes Hospital Foundation, 169 Riverside Dr., Binghamton, NY 13905.
