Obituary of Thomas P. Watson

Thomas Patrick Watson, 69, of Binghamton died Friday August 21, 2015 after a long illness. He was predeceased by his father, Thomas E. Watson in 1995. He is survived by his mother, Mary Maher Watson; his sister, Martha; his brother, Kevin; his aunt, Kathleen Maher Foley; and his uncle, John Peter Maher. He was the eldest of 28 grandchildren of the late William F. and Martha M. Maher. Tom was a graduate of Binghamton Central High School, Broome Community College and Ridley Lowell School of Business. He was a veteran of the US Air Force serving as a personal specialist. The family wishes to thank Dr. Kahn at Broome Oncology and his staff, and Dr. Haq at Broome Radiology and his staff for the care they provided Tom during his illness. A Funeral Mass will be offered at the Church of Saints John and Andrew, Vestal Ave., Binghamton on Friday August 28, 2015 at 9:30am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Tom may be made to the American Cancer Society, 13 Beech St., Johnson City, NY 13790 or the American Lung Association, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave., Suite 800, Washington, DC 20004.
