Obituary of Barney V Yanus

Yanus, Barney V., Jr. Binghamton: Barney V. Yanus Jr., 68, of Binghamton, died Sunday, April 29, 2013. He was predeceased by his parents, Barney and Rita Yanus; his sister, Diane Zimmer; and his wife, Susan Vlack Yanus. He is survived by his children, Tammy Sue Tevepaugh, Harmony, NC, Vincent Yanus, Jennifer Sterling, both of Binghamton; three grandchildren, Andrew, Jordan, Abbey Tevepaugh; three sisters, Christine Busch, Rita and Michael O'Brien, Joyce Ann Parker; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was a member of Crossroads of Life Church, Binghamton. He graduated from Binghamton Central High School. He loved Friendsville, PA and the many summers he spent there. He loved cars, fixing anything mechanical, all sports, and played softball in his youth and won a bowling trophy in 2012. He had a great love for his family. Memorial services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Wednesday at 1 p.m. Reverend Dann Travis, his pastor, will officiate. Entombment will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Wednesday from 12 noon until 1 p.m.
