Margaret "Peg" Theresa (Bulger) Campion of Vestal died peacefully Wednesday morning, June 24, 2015 at Elizabeth Church Manor, Binghamton, NY. She was born May 1, 1932 in Binghamton, NY to Simon J. and Mary E. (Sweeney) Bulger. She is preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of 50 years, Edward "Art" Campion; infant daughter, Catherine; brothers, Leo J. and John F. Bulger; sisters-in-law, Jacqueline "Jackie" (Morello) Bulger and Janet Campion; and brothers-in-law, Robert Hill, Thomas and George Campion, Jerry Coughlin and Robert Legos. She is survived by her four children: Thomas and Diane Campion of Rochester, Teresa and Nick Thielen of Minneapolis, Kathryn and Michael St. Clair of Endicott and Lt. Col. James and Lisa Campion (USAF) of Dayton. Proud grandmother of 8: Erin Kane (husband Patrick), Lauren Campion, Katherine & David Thielen, Heather & Adam Gates, Andrew & Amber Campion; great-grandson Dylan Kane; as well as her most loving sisters Mary Hill, Rita Coughlin, and Constance Legos; Shawn Gates (father of Heather and Adam) and too many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to name. Peg was a long time member of the LAOH. She enjoyed her ceramics, knitting and embroidery and was a daycare provider to numerous children. She loved her faith and was very active at St. Vincent dePaul Church. She was an employee of Spaulding Bakeries where she met her husband Art. Their first date was midnight mass on Christmas Eve. We would like to say a very special thanks to the wonderful staff of St. Louise Manor and Elizabeth Church Manor for their commitment to our mother's care. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Vincent dePaul Blessed Sacrament Church, Clubhouse Rd., Vestal on Thursday at 12 Noon. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton on Thursday from 9 until 11am. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Peg may be made to St. Vincent dePaul Blessed Sacrament Church, 165 Clifton Blvd., Vestal, NY 13850 or the Alzheimer's Association of the Southern Tier, 401 Hayes Ave., Endicott, NY 13760.
