Eggleston, Catherine "Katie" Foley Binghamton: Catherine "Katie" Foley Eggleston, 85, of Binghamton, died June 22, 2012 after a valiant battle with Parkinson's Disease. She died as she lived, without complaint. She was predeceased by her husband, William B. (Willie) Eggleston and her daughter, Susan Eggleston Fiacco. She is survived by her children and grandchildren, Michael and Margo, Courtney, Haley and Caitlin Eggleston, Felton, CA, Mary Ellen and David, Katie Hannah, David and Amy Goetz, Kirkwood, Bernard, Binghamton, Bridget and Jim, Danny and Courtney, Paddy and Sully; great-grandchild, James, Kevin and Michael Shoemaker, Binghamton, Dan and Cathy, Willie, Mary, Christian, Gerald and Grant Eggleston, Binghamton, Peter and Colleen, Nick, Pat, Carly and MacKenzie Eggleston, Endicott; son-in-law, Buster and Danita, Cara, Matt and Sarah Fiacco, Binghamton. She is also survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Ann and Jack Walters, Binghamton, Jean and Bill Burtis, Vestal, Don Fischer, Cincinnati, OH. She many much-loved nieces and nephews and countless good and faithful friends. She was a longtime member of the Church of Saints John and Andrew, Binghamton. She graduated from St. Patrick's Academy in 1943 and graduated from the College of New Rochelle in 1947. She then went on to attend and graduate from Harpur College with her Master's in Business Administration. She was a retired business teacher at Binghamton Central High School. She enjoyed her summers at Quaker Lake with Willie, her morning dip and wash and walks around the lake. She was a good friend and wonderful mother. The family of Katie wishes to thank each and every employee, volunteer, and resident at Willow Point Nursing Home who made our mother stay comfortable. She appreciated you all! And we do too. The family wishes to thank first and foremost Cathy Crowley who, on a weekly basis for many years, brought Holy Communion to our mother and we would like to thank her very much. A Funeral Mass will be offered at the Church of Saints John and Andrew, Binghamton, Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. Augustine's Cemetery, Silver Lake, PA. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Monday from 6-9 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Katie may be made to the Samaritan House, 11 Fayette Street, Binghamton, NY 13901.
