Frederick J. VonShuckmann | Visit Guest Book VonShuckmann, Frederick J. Frederick J. VonShuckmann entered into eternal life on April 28, 2012. Born in Binghamton in 1930, he spent his adult life in New Jersey, returning here October 2006. He was predeceased by his mother, Agnes (Griffin); and siblings, Maureen and Henry Joseph (and wife Rita). He is survived by several cousins including Patricia Glazier, Binghamton, Ann Logan, New Jersey, Kathleen Frickel, Elmira, Barbara Tagert, Hawaii, and his very wonderful and caring families at Woodland Manor and Willow Point Nursing Home where he was known as "the greeter". Special thanks to the staff there and to Sister Alma Jones, CSJ. Fred was a good and gentle man who was devoted to his church in Bayonne, where he was an usher at Sunday Mass and worked Bingo on Friday nights. Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Tuesday at 3 p.m. Sister Alma Jones, CSJ will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City, on Wednesday. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Tuesday from 2 p.m. until service time at 3 p.m. Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to Sisters of St. Joseph, 46 Oak St., Binghamton, NY 13905 or St. Patrick's Church, 9 Leroy St., Binghamton, NY 13905.
