Obituary of Thomas J. Conaty

Thomas J. Conaty | Visit Guest Book Conaty, Thomas J. Brackney, PA: Thomas J. Conaty, 55, of Brackney, PA, died unexpectedly Saturday, January 7, 2012. He was predeceased by his wife, Cindi Conaty; his father, Joseph Conaty; and a brother, Richard Conaty. He is survived by his children, Sean Conaty, Sarah and Dan Snee, Jason and Maggie Legg, Todd Legg and fiance Kim Forys; his grandchildren, Ethan and Colin Legg, Ally and Lauren Legg; his mother, Phyllis Conaty; sister, Jeanine Conaty; his brother, Joseph and Ann Marie Conaty; nephews, Alex and Collin Conaty; and special friend, Chris Allis. He was a member of St. Augustine's Church, Silver Lake, PA. Tom was a 40 years member of the Silver Lake Volunteer Fire Co. and Rescue Squad and assistant chief since 1993. Tom was proprietor of Conaty Construction and Conaty Transportation. After a lifetime of service to his community, Tom will be remembered by his friends, neighbors, and his fellow firefighters and rescue squad members for his energy, devotion, and commitment to helping others. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Augustine's Church, Silver Lake, PA, Thursday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in St. Augustine's Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Tom may be made to the Silver Lake Volunteer Fire Co. & Rescue Squad, PO Box 133, Brackney, PA 18812.
