Obituary of Pauline J. Cadden

Cadden, Pauline J. Pauline J. Cadden passed away on the afternoon of February 2, 2013 at UHS Wilson Medical Center, Johnson City, following a short illness. She is survived by her husband of 62+ years, Gerald; and a son, Dennis and daughter-in-law Maureen of Bethel, CT. Pauline was born in Brooklyn, PA on March 15, 1924, the youngest of six girls and two boys of the late John Engates and Mary Cichon. She was predeceased by brothers, John and Edward; sisters, Rose, Celia, Helen, Frances and Florence; and survived by several nieces and nephews and special friends. Pauline enjoyed life and danced to a different drummer. She was very creative and artistic and had a great eye for colors and design. She enjoyed decorating, sewing, and painting with a variety of media including watercolors, conte crayons, pen and ink and oils. Pauline also had a knack for landscaping and never saw a rock or stone she didn't like unless it was blue. She would arrange things until they were just perfect to her eye. At Pauline's request, there will be no calling hours and funeral arrangements will be private at the convenience of the family. The family would also like to thank the wonderful staff of Lourdes Hospice and UHS Wilson Medical Center for the loving and tender care they provided to Pauline. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your favorite charity in her memory.
