Mary Kathryn "Kathy" Cronin of Johnson City, New York, passed away after a short illness on Friday, August 16, 2024. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Mary Helen (McCarthy) Cronin as well as her brother Jack. She is survived by cousins, Marianne Coughlin, Kathleen Meehan Jablonowski, Johanna Meehan Gallagher, Lee Conrad as well as several other cousins. Kathy worked at NYSEG for 41 years, retiring in 2013. She was an electric mapper in the GIS mapping department. Kathy was very proud of her Irish heritage. She was an active member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians Division one for 45 years. Kathy was the first New York State. LOAH officer from Broome County. She held various offices at the division and county levels. In 2020, she was chosen by the Hibernian Parade Committee to be honored as the Grand Marshal of the Binghamton St. Patrick's Day Parade. She was a friend to all. Her sister and brother Hibernians as well as her family will miss her. Until we meet again, dear friend and cousin, may God hold you in the palm of His hand. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Highland Avenue, Binghamton, Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. The Mass will be livestreamed at www.sta-sp.org
